Welcome back to another electrifying episode of Cannon Crue. This week, the Crue is discussing the Ft. Sumpter to Cannery Row battle between the Charleston Battery and Monterey Bay FC. The engagement was a little fishy from beginning to end resulting in a nil-nil draw.
[00:00:00] Welcome to Cannon Crue, a weekly podcast discussing the Charleston Battery. Your host Granit will
[00:00:22] be joined by other defenders of the fleet from the Black and Yellow supporters section,
[00:00:27] and together they will help fortify and conquer their other Cannon Crue.
[00:00:32] Welcome to the Cannon Crue podcast, I am Granit and I'm joined by Patrick. How you doing Patrick?
[00:00:40] I'm well, how are you? I'm doing well. And I'm elusive. Ryan. How you doing Ryan?
[00:00:48] Doing fantastic Granit, how are you?
[00:00:51] I'm doing okay. So we're here to talk about Monterey Bay versus Charleston Battery. It
[00:00:57] took place, match took place this past week. West Coast versus East Coast and we come out
[00:01:02] with one big fat point. I think we outplayed him. Once again, I don't talk about Referees,
[00:01:11] but when the guy's using his whole arm and moving it towards the ball on the goal line to
[00:01:18] keep one of our shots out and he's standing there and watching it let that happen. No whistle.
[00:01:23] Okay, that's all I'm going to say.
[00:01:25] Ryan, do you have any general thoughts on the game before we get started?
[00:01:29] Again, M.D. Myers continues to find a way to put himself in pivotal positions in a time where
[00:01:37] he is most needed in a game. Now I will say recently in the past few games, including this
[00:01:44] one early on especially, M.D. is kind of with a little lost out there a little bit,
[00:01:49] not necessarily that he's been fully lost, but he hasn't looked like his true self as of lately.
[00:01:56] We've seen in the first couple games this season. So I wonder if he's, you know, is it too much on
[00:02:05] him right now? Is it just he needs a break? Has he been playing too many minutes right now?
[00:02:11] What are your thoughts on that, Granite?
[00:02:13] I think he's just tired. He just looks tired. He looks sluggish. Last couple matches,
[00:02:17] he just looks sluggish. Maybe he needs a little time in Dubai.
[00:02:23] Patrick, we talked about this before. We've been talking about last couple weeks. What do you think?
[00:02:28] I think it's time for a switch. I think we spoke about it last week. I mean,
[00:02:33] sometimes a player can play through a rut, but sometimes just getting a break from play and
[00:02:38] recollecting yourself and going back at it and training might just reset his mind and get
[00:02:44] him back to the space of shooting the ball first time and not taking an extra touch that we clearly
[00:02:50] saw in this game, the last game in the game before. So I just wanted to kill our instinct back.
[00:02:56] Competition wise, who do we put in his spot? I mean, we kind of talked about it, right? You can
[00:03:03] easily put Marcanik up top. Go ahead, Ryan.
[00:03:09] No, no, I think I want you to finish. I want you to have your floor of your opinion, but
[00:03:14] Marcanik up top. We've already seen that in the beginning of this season.
[00:03:19] I feel like we've already kind of explored that option, even though that's still a good option
[00:03:23] to always go back to. But we have a little bit more options now. We got to look at our full
[00:03:29] bench that we have. And I think right now it's a good opportunity to be Jackson Conway right
[00:03:36] now. I think that's a good person to really put in that spot because he can hold the ball
[00:03:44] just as well as MD that I've seen, just from what I've seen in practices and stuff. Now,
[00:03:49] I haven't seen Jackson play a whole lot. He's only played about what 30, 40 minutes
[00:03:55] all season so far. He's had a couple of injuries here and there. But I think
[00:03:59] him getting back in and getting a solid about 30, 40 minutes in a single game will do him
[00:04:04] right. And we'll be pleasantly surprised by him. It'd be nice to see him get a start come out there
[00:04:10] because when he's come out the last two matches, of course, he bagged a goal within a couple minutes
[00:04:14] coming on one before. He's come out with some intensity and some hunger and you can see it.
[00:04:19] And it was almost a little bit too much a couple of times this past match because he hit,
[00:04:23] you know, he had a couple of bad passes, not really bad passes, but kind of passes that
[00:04:27] could have been better. And I think it's just from him being eager to want to get
[00:04:30] out there and make a difference like he did that game before.
[00:04:33] Yeah. So you guys talking about Conway, and I just don't know if he has the legs yet to keep that
[00:04:38] high press that we run so early on and for the first 45 minutes. I mean, like Ryan touched on,
[00:04:45] he hasn't had that many minutes this year so far. So maybe we see him get a little more
[00:04:52] time coming off the bench, a little extended times, maybe a 30 minutes left in the game
[00:04:57] to build a little bit more in his legs. And that's the only reason I was suggesting maybe
[00:05:01] Marcanic up top just because we do have Torres and Gutierrez that seem to threaten down the sides
[00:05:08] and especially with Drac on the same side as Torres, that's just, that's a lethal combo right
[00:05:13] there that we need to start finishing those balls that they contribute into the box.
[00:05:18] Yeah. No, you're absolutely right, Patrick. And I just think like my takes more of like
[00:05:23] wanting to utilize our depth on the bench and to get those guys a little bit more minutes and
[00:05:29] those guys who are now healthy into the rotation. Whereas we have, you know, these guys who are
[00:05:35] making constant starts coming off of the bench, you know, we have Gutierrez and Torres kind of
[00:05:40] switching and Rodriguez kind of in that mix as well a bit. Can we make another difference?
[00:05:46] Can we, can we have another player break through and now we're not there at their
[00:05:50] trainings and stuff? So I don't know how well Conway is doing, but I'm hoping he's making enough
[00:05:56] difference to where he's starting to kind of break through that roster and get more minutes as a sub,
[00:06:01] you know, get those 30 to 40 minutes as a sub instead of that 10, 5 to 10.
[00:06:06] Yeah. The Birmingham Legion, he come on at 88 minutes. This match, he come on at 79 minutes.
[00:06:11] Maybe we'll see him at 60 minutes this next match. I mean, we're not winning games right now.
[00:06:17] We're getting draws. So even if we see maybe Jake come on and start a game for 45 and then
[00:06:23] Jackson comes on for the second 45 and I would just, I'm welcoming a change of pace at some
[00:06:30] point for this squad that we're, we're seeing them just kind of playing flat now. Maybe a
[00:06:35] change will, will boost them up or something or get the confidence back or like rally behind
[00:06:40] the team that was so talked about as a tight knit squad. And you can see them when we do
[00:06:44] score, they celebrate together. I don't think any of them is going to have grief that someone else
[00:06:49] gets to start over them for a game, especially with our lack of form right now. If they do have
[00:06:55] grief, maybe that'll add a fire on them. Maybe they'll pick up the pace when we're out there and
[00:06:59] it looks like they're just kind of lumbering around and jogging and not doing a whole lot
[00:07:03] from time to time. Maybe that will incite them to be a little faster, be a little
[00:07:09] more presy. This is a time right now for these boys to decide, are they a tight knit group enough to
[00:07:16] where they're, they bought into Ben Pyramin and they bought into the battery itself and they want
[00:07:21] to host another championship game. They want to get to another final. They want to win that final.
[00:07:28] Well, it starts as a team and they have to play together. They have to one it for each other,
[00:07:33] not just for themselves, but for each other. And if that's, you know, one of their mates
[00:07:37] getting to start over them, then they're encouraging each other. And I see that constantly
[00:07:42] throughout, but there's just something else missing out there. And we all see, and we can kind of
[00:07:49] see it. We've seen it the last two games and it's not necessarily we're playing this poor play
[00:07:54] of soccer. It's just something missing, that lack of enthusiasm. There's a lack of
[00:08:01] intensity. There's something, just something there. It's not the right word, but there's
[00:08:04] something they're missing. And maybe it's just blind luck. Maybe it's just blind luck,
[00:08:08] because you look at the numbers, possession, everything else is like the word beginning
[00:08:13] of the year. Maybe it's an arm stop and a ball. Maybe it's just a little bit off on shots,
[00:08:19] because we outshot them. We outdid everything on them and still just didn't come up with what
[00:08:24] we needed. And we had some great chances. We also had some great keeping by the Cougs.
[00:08:29] There were so two or three stops in there that we're just taught us to gain kind of stuff.
[00:08:35] Shannel to Cougs for two clean sheets on the season so far for him.
[00:08:39] He's coming off strong performances here. I mean, back-to-back open cup games,
[00:08:44] which the second one against Atlanta United was another clean sheet, despite it doesn't get
[00:08:51] written down as a clean sheet. So he kept another one against a top team there. But yeah,
[00:08:56] I mean, a guy to come in off the bench, step in for a go-to starter and Grinny and just
[00:09:03] we clearly see his confidence week to week is just stepping up and up and up. Like,
[00:09:09] you don't see a keeper run out and make saves 1v1 or become almost double the size of themselves
[00:09:15] against opposition on breakaway goals without all that confidence. So I mean, it's awesome to see
[00:09:21] him just thriving out there now. No, Pat, you just said something right there,
[00:09:26] or just want to ask on. So that game against Atlanta in the US Open that doesn't go down as a clean sheet?
[00:09:34] I wouldn't think so, just because of the counts as a loss. They just don't get a clean sheet for
[00:09:40] doing that. I'm not sure how the stats work everywhere, but that's what I thought stats worked
[00:09:47] of you lose a game. It doesn't matter if it's extra time, you're not getting a clean sheet.
[00:09:52] Okay. I was just curious about that.
[00:09:58] That's just a viewpoint right there because obviously as a keeper, I'm a keeper mindset right there.
[00:10:04] You're taking that as a clean sheet all day long. You played 90 minutes in goal,
[00:10:08] no matter if you're playing at a time or penalty shootouts, win or loss,
[00:10:13] you get the clean sheet 90 minutes. Now, if that doesn't go down on the stat sheet,
[00:10:17] it doesn't go down on the stat sheet. I can agree with you on there. I don't know, but in our
[00:10:21] minds, we're at least thinking that we have to. Yeah, I think that was the tipping point of him
[00:10:29] gaining more confidence. You're playing an MLS side and in our eyes, I'm sure it probably is on
[00:10:35] the stat sheet, but a clean sheet there, I mean, that's just got to build you for the rest of
[00:10:40] the season. Unfortunately, we go out, but it's not due to Kuz because he made the save in
[00:10:46] PKs as well. So Kuz came out man of the match, never and he earned it. He saved us from flying
[00:10:54] back with zero points. Speaking of flying back, Enzo Mori had to jump on a plane at five o'clock
[00:10:59] next morning to make it back for graduation. It's kind of a cool thought about it. Hey,
[00:11:05] guy, what did you do last night? Oh, I was just out at Monterey Bay, the backup keeper for
[00:11:09] professional. Oh, that's right. I am a professional soccer player now. Anything you guys want
[00:11:13] to talk about the first half? I mean, lots of chances again, but what are we going to do? We're
[00:11:18] going to do this every week and talk about how good our chances were and we just didn't score them.
[00:11:24] Sounds like we might have to if we want to continue a podcast. We might just have to talk
[00:11:27] about that a lot. Again, look at the stats. We had 61% possession. It just, it goes down.
[00:11:35] It just looks like back in the old days, you know, the first part of the season,
[00:11:39] the first part of the season where we're dominating matches and we're just not putting it away.
[00:11:44] And we've got to come up with that killer instinct and we just don't have it right now.
[00:11:48] We don't have somebody that goes open goal less than penalty spot distance in front of me
[00:11:54] and I don't have the presence of mind to just tap it in. Instead, I shoot it as hard as I can
[00:12:01] right at the defender standing there on the line and they stop it with her foot rather
[00:12:05] than shooting it between, flip it to this right or the presence of mind when you're
[00:12:11] MD Myers and you have the ball, the penalty spot and you decide to pass it over to Rodriguez
[00:12:17] who has a lesser percentage shot. I don't understand that. But until we get that killer
[00:12:24] instinct, we've got, we're just going to be talking about this week after week.
[00:12:28] Yeah, I wouldn't knock Myers for making that pass. I mean,
[00:12:34] this is a team that gets each other involved. It's just, even in that Rodriguez still has
[00:12:39] a shot on goal. He's got to put it in a spot where the keeper can't just make an easy save.
[00:12:44] I mean, two guys in the box, one defender, one keeper, you've got to get something better
[00:12:49] on target there. No, I don't disagree with that. But Myers, I think had a clean shot
[00:12:55] and he hesitated. Maybe he's just a little gun shy for not making goals for a while, but
[00:13:00] he should have taken that shot. He's a striker. That's his job. He's the guy leaving the tip of
[00:13:05] the spear. And that's what he's supposed to be doing. And he lays it off somebody else.
[00:13:08] So I was a little disappointed with that decision.
[00:13:11] So Farah argument, Grant, just going back to, he's a striker. He should be striking it.
[00:13:17] I think in that moment, that's the moment where as a true striker, you have to be
[00:13:22] selfish right there. Like strikers are known for being selfish and taking those shots
[00:13:27] and and B from what we've seen this entire season, we have seen the exact opposite.
[00:13:33] He is the most selfless striker we I think we've ever had at the battery.
[00:13:38] You know, you know, new thing, new, yeah, granted, I'm a new fan. You know, correct me
[00:13:44] if I'm wrong. I'm a new fan. But from what I've seen from Augie last year,
[00:13:48] he was the first striker that I was a fan of for the battery. And going from him to MD is a completely
[00:13:57] different change. Oh, it is. They're two different type of forwards. Exactly. But we've seen where MD
[00:14:05] one time will take the ball and dribble it around five or six times trying to switch
[00:14:09] directions with a lot of defenders to get between him and the goal, trying to get a shot versus
[00:14:13] now he has an open shot and he passes it all. Yep. And I think that it all goes down to decision
[00:14:20] making. And I think that's what we're lacking right now. That could be one of the things we're
[00:14:25] lacking right now is just a simple decision making our level right now. And that could be
[00:14:30] the difference maker in the games. That's why we're we feel like we could be behind or there
[00:14:34] are intensity levels out there. It's just because our mental game, we're not making the
[00:14:37] correct decisions or the decision work enough. Yeah, if you look at shots on target,
[00:14:43] what might surprise people? Juan David Torres had four shots on target. MD had one.
[00:14:52] Yeah. Chance has created almost four. Torres one for MD.
[00:14:59] And MD is one shot was a handball in the goal line.
[00:15:03] You got to do something different. Yeah, he's got it because MD's got to be averaging three shots,
[00:15:09] three shots a game. If you're playing striker at a professional level, if I'm signing a player
[00:15:17] that plays striker for me, he's got to be going three to four shots a game. I mean,
[00:15:22] what am I paying him for if we're not winning? Right? So now we're at a point where we're
[00:15:28] not winning. We didn't score a goal. Okay, now we need to be a little bit harsher on MD
[00:15:34] and get him to be a little bit more selfish to get those goals and to get more shots and create
[00:15:41] those opportunities for us because what if he doesn't score? Well, if he doesn't score,
[00:15:44] it ricochets down. Guess what? We get the we get the tap in and we've scored a lot of those
[00:15:49] in the beginning of the year. What happened in the beginning of the year? I mean, that was
[00:15:53] the difference right there. We were getting those tap in. Now we're not getting anything.
[00:15:56] Ryan, I think you make a good point for a guy who's asked not to track back on defense to keep
[00:16:04] us stretched as a team, especially with a 60% possession and a five to three ratio of passing.
[00:16:13] He's got to do something more like that. Any striker, not just Myers, any striker in a
[00:16:18] role like that where your team has 60% possession, you have to be getting more
[00:16:23] shots on goal or at least more chances created for your teammates arriving in the box. That's
[00:16:29] the bare minimum. I mean, we're not talking about a team that's like 50-50 possession,
[00:16:36] same amount of passing, same amount of chances created, same amount of shots on target.
[00:16:40] We're dominating the ball. We need more. If you're not going to put them in,
[00:16:44] then we need double the chances, I guess. Yep. Exactly. I agree with you.
[00:16:52] Let's talk about Torres for a little bit. Because he had four shots on target,
[00:17:00] had two shots off a target and one of them, I think they probably gave it off target,
[00:17:04] but it hit the outside of the post almost. On free kicks, you'll see him and Aaron
[00:17:13] line up for it. The first season, Aaron was taking those things and it's almost been
[00:17:17] exclusively Torres taking them now. But he's not scoring either, but he's at least putting
[00:17:24] the ball in. Everybody's not scoring either. So what do we do? We gotta crash those chances a
[00:17:29] lot harder. This is two games in a row that he's now hit woodwork off of a free kick and we're
[00:17:35] just not there to clean it up. I mean, what more do you want from a striker or I'm sorry,
[00:17:42] a free kick specialist? If they're not at least hitting the woodwork, it'll be going in.
[00:17:47] So we gotta crash that. No, we got to. And it's something that
[00:17:55] one of those things where we finally got to a point in the season where we know who our
[00:17:58] takers are. We got Torres taking them. He's at the woodwork twice. After the first time,
[00:18:04] you'd think that we would have some sort of game plan. Okay, if it hits the woodwork,
[00:18:08] this is what we do. This is the spots we go to. It happens again and we look like we're
[00:18:13] just frozen. Like it's never happened before. There's got to be either a change and where we're
[00:18:20] kicking it to or a change in how we're running up just something. We have to either change it up
[00:18:28] or just go back to how we've been doing it in the beginning of the season because we had the
[00:18:33] success in the beginning of the season, even from free kicks, even from corner kicks.
[00:18:39] We were scoring goals. I think that was the most we had scored, I think in the past couple of seasons
[00:18:45] and the beginning of the year, we had about four or five goals scored from set pieces where we had
[00:18:53] maybe four or five at the end of the season. So we just need to get back to what we were
[00:18:57] doing in the beginning. Yeah, would you guys rather see us called for an offside
[00:19:03] on a rebound? I'd rather see that than just no one there and like two defenders collecting the ball,
[00:19:10] letting them shielding anyone to let the keeper pick it up. I'd rather get an offside and see
[00:19:15] that we're attempting to try and crash his ball and get a goal. Because you know we're making
[00:19:20] the effort and that's going to scare their team more and then that's just another opportunity
[00:19:24] for them to make another mistake later down the road because you're just getting in their heads.
[00:19:28] Whereas if you're not making any effort, the other team knows that they're going to bully
[00:19:32] you more because you're not making any effort to for an opportunity there because there's always
[00:19:39] an opportunity when the ball is in the box and if you're not willing to go for it,
[00:19:44] are you willing to win the game? That's the question. Yeah, all you need is that one deflection
[00:19:50] and you're in there but you've got to be in there to win it right. So another player
[00:19:55] that has played really well, especially this match and I think the match before
[00:19:59] is Rodriguez. I think we were talking about on our WhatsApp group, we were going back and forth
[00:20:05] and I think we all kind of went Rodriguez is killing it and the whole match and even when
[00:20:09] he got in his tussle with the other dude, he's done excellent job stepping in there for Alan,
[00:20:16] asked to sit on the sideline, do the bogus red card. I mean it's a welcome change of pace,
[00:20:21] right? Like he's a little more creative on the ball with his passing. He had a huge chance
[00:20:27] layoff to Malloy and the first half to just wider the post from like 30. I think that's
[00:20:34] our bread and butter that we need to get. I'll see you more shots under his belt
[00:20:39] and get a couple more on target, maybe build the rest of the guy's confidence but
[00:20:43] Rodriguez is, I love it man. Like there's these spurts where he just shows
[00:20:49] his work ethic the way he just receives the ball and then turns, turns the defender
[00:20:54] and then lays it off immediately. He doesn't try to dribble and trap himself in.
[00:20:59] He tries to get his team involved and I love seeing that from a guy.
[00:21:03] Yeah, he had two shots and both are on target and one chance created so that's pretty good.
[00:21:09] I think he's still thinking about that like nine-foot keeper they had who apparently made
[00:21:14] his body the entire size of the goal. Where do they find these people?
[00:21:19] We have a familiar face after Monterey Bay and I was looking at the roster, didn't see him on it for
[00:21:26] the match. Who was that person Ryan? Tristan Traeger, that was my favorite player last year.
[00:21:35] It's kind of odd because he wasn't listed on the starting lineup or on the bench and we see
[00:21:43] him after the game. We took pictures with him and he suited up in the actual game uniform.
[00:21:49] Is there a deal when we sold him or when we traded him to Monterey that he didn't play against us?
[00:22:00] Because sometimes when they're injured, they don't necessarily post it always.
[00:22:05] In some of this, that can be always difficult to find and I went through past matches. He wasn't
[00:22:10] hurt in a match and he wasn't on a red card and it's been two matches since he played.
[00:22:17] He didn't play the match before either. So let's talk about our next upcoming match
[00:22:23] and we're playing at Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Ryan, have you done any scouting for us?
[00:22:30] Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh are a very frustrating team right now. They've had a very struggling
[00:22:37] beginning to the season themselves starting out 0-6 practically and now they've kind of dug
[00:22:43] themselves out of a little hole sitting midway in the Eastern standings and now
[00:22:49] they're similar to how I feel like how we're going to match up to them is similar to how
[00:22:53] that Miami game earlier in the season is going to go. It's going to be a very back and forth game.
[00:22:59] They don't have that forward anymore. It was their golden boot from last year.
[00:23:04] So I wonder how their attack is going to be. They've had a mixture of a couple guys who scored
[00:23:10] their goals this year. But I think their attack is going to be pretty handled by our backline.
[00:23:16] I think Dos Santos, Archer and Seggbers are going to have a good time. And I think this could be
[00:23:22] a good game for Seggbers to take advantage of that role where he can step more forward
[00:23:28] and be more of a wingback role and see what kind of chances he can create back there.
[00:23:35] Yeah. I think Ryan touched on it pretty spot on. I mean, it's a very jackal and hide type of team.
[00:23:46] I'm a little worried from our standpoint because their last six games, they've only
[00:23:51] not scored in the last one pretty much. So with our struggling form and just,
[00:23:58] I mean, I love Cous but if you're seeing shots on goal and we're not doing our job and putting
[00:24:04] them in on the other end of the field, I'm a little worried on that. So I think it's just
[00:24:09] going to be a free-for-all game if we don't get this under control early on and just try and
[00:24:15] settle the game down, which it seems like we're willing to just throw everything on the table
[00:24:21] and just attack, attack, attack and leave midfielders back to defend at some point. So
[00:24:27] I'm a little nervous about that. Yeah. We've played 13 matches. Riverhounds have played 11.
[00:24:33] They only have three wins, four losses and four draws. The goal difference is only negative two.
[00:24:38] So that's not a bad thing like you were talking about. They scored two against Tulsa.
[00:24:42] They scored one and two of their draws, one against North Carolina. And so they
[00:24:49] looks like they can score some goals. Yeah. We'll see how they pan out. They do have a game
[00:24:53] this weekend against Indy 11. So they may be on a little bit of a jet lag coming to us but,
[00:25:00] I mean, better for us to have a team play three days, four days prior. So I'll welcome that anytime.
[00:25:08] Yeah. And Indy 11, they're rolling right now. Last five matches, they've won all five.
[00:25:13] I know one thing we've skipped over a couple times now is score prediction. I want to hear
[00:25:21] who's scoring and what the score is going to be. Ryan, you go. What is your prediction?
[00:25:27] I think Kuz is going to have another Lights Out game. I think he gets another clean sheet
[00:25:33] and another tally for a man of the match. But I think it's going to go to Rodriguez
[00:25:40] in a 2-1 victory or 2-0 victory, sorry, 2-0. Which one? 2-1 or 2-0?
[00:25:47] Sorry, 2-0. Battery win. Rodriguez man of the match with a goal.
[00:25:53] Patrick, you want me to go next? Hey, he just shouts out his boy. It's going to be getting
[00:25:58] the Lights Out performance and then has him getting scored on. No, I'm at 2-0.
[00:26:04] Well, because I was thinking of Miami games. I had my head that it was going to be the
[00:26:07] exact same. So I was thinking 2-1 earlier. But no, 2-0. I trust Kuz.
[00:26:12] I'm going 3-0. All right. Torres man of the match, two goals.
[00:26:17] Segibers is going to get one also. Love that. I love that from Segibers.
[00:26:21] I'm going to go with the, I'm going to get the dog fight to get us back to a winning form.
[00:26:26] One no late archer, header, goal, lights, camera action. We're done. Let's celebrate.
[00:26:37] Is that a 1-0 game? Yes. I don't think the form we're in, we're not finding the
[00:26:42] back end that often. You need the captain to step up, show us how it's done and get
[00:26:47] us back into it. Now, one thing I love that Granite said is the Segibers shout.
[00:26:55] I love Segibers to get an assist this game. I think this is a game for him to shine and to
[00:27:01] really step up into an attack and to really benefit from it. I think this last match,
[00:27:07] he found himself going kind of towards it, maybe the match before going for the middle
[00:27:12] and really had some space kind of right before the penalty area. I was, I was hoping he would just take
[00:27:17] a shot. I think he ended up passing it a couple of times. I'm for Segibers for doing that, but
[00:27:23] Tore's, he's going to kill. As soon as he gets his asthma and altitude just right,
[00:27:28] he's going to be firing those shots right in the back of the net.
[00:27:31] What do you guys have on the opposite side? I know we didn't touch on it, but
[00:27:35] between Drac and Dos Santos because now we're seeing a similar
[00:27:40] topic of conversation that we saw between Torres and Gutierrez earlier on in the season.
[00:27:45] Personally, I want Drac. I think he's just way better at defending.
[00:27:51] Granite, what do you think about that? Because we both know you love Dos Santos.
[00:27:55] I'm going to stick with Dos Santos. Why?
[00:27:59] Because I just think he's- You better get him on the practice field and make
[00:28:03] him start learning how to close the guy down. I think he adds much more to the attack than
[00:28:08] Drac does. And our problem isn't we're letting goals through. Our problem is we're not scoring them.
[00:28:16] Is that a problem? That we're not scoring them? Yeah.
[00:28:19] Probably not until the goal goes in on us. Yeah.
[00:28:23] Hey, we're holding our own. That's true. It wasn't a loss.
[00:28:28] You at least got a point out of it, which counts at the end of the season.
[00:28:33] Was Drac playing against Atlanta United? He was.
[00:28:37] I think he came on as a sub. Right? Or did he start?
[00:28:41] I think both him and Segber's at one point were on the pitch not at the same time, but
[00:28:46] once- Yeah, Dos Santos started, but he did come on.
[00:28:50] Yeah. And- Right? He didn't make the appearance there.
[00:28:55] How he didn't? Okay. No, that was the following game.
[00:28:59] The following game against- Was it Ligia? El Paso.
[00:29:02] El Paso. We lost to El Paso.
[00:29:04] What's the red card from a very not clumsy challenge?
[00:29:11] From a shady call by some long sleeve wearing short man.
[00:29:18] And I'm a short man, and I'm calling him a short man.
[00:29:21] Napoleon complex. But anyways, okay. That about wraps it up.
[00:29:25] We'll see you all out at Pagers Point on June 8th for the next match when we take
[00:29:29] on a Pittsburgh Riverhounds. You know we'll be stationed up in the observation post behind
[00:29:34] the net, this big border section.
[00:29:37] That's all I got. Adios.
