Join the Cannon Crue is their discussion of the Battery 6 nil barley scraping by win over Orange County SC. The narrow margin was propped up by a hat trick by Nick and braced by Dr. Myers!
[00:00:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Welcome to Cannon Crue, a weekly podcast discussing the Charleston Battery.
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Your host Granit will be joined by other defenders of the fleet from the black and yellow supporters
[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_08]: section and together they will help fortify and conquer. They are the Cannon Crue.
[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Cannon Crue podcast. This is Granit and I'm joined by Ryan. How you doing, Ryan?
[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Doing good.
[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You Patrick?
[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm great. What's going on everyone?
[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, we're here to discuss Orange County.
[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_03]: So let's just go back into it because we were talking about that red card
[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_03]: five minutes into the game and I don't know, I thought that was harsh. I mean,
[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_03]: see the guy get pushed in the back, a little soft push. I don't disagree. It's a pen.
[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, if that was the other side of the field, we'd all be screaming,
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_03]: what is this ref doing? How do we find his home address? How do we track him down? How
[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_06]: do we get the fans over there? Now it's just one of those unfortunate situations to where no
[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_06]: matter who you are on that pitch, you hate to see someone get a red card in the first five
[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_06]: minutes of the game. You just, you hate to see it. I mean, it totally changes the way the game
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_06]: plays, right? It changes the entire way the game is and rightfully so this game was awesome
[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_06]: and it just, it happens, you know, and it's, it is a foul. It's all in the rules. It just,
[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_03]: you just hate to see it, you know, end of the day. You hate to see it if it's
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: a challenge like this, but you understand, it's understandable if it is like a clumsy
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_03]: challenge or something very reckless or like studs up at a guy's kneecap from behind or
[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_03]: something like that. Right. That you can at least argue for and be like, I get that.
[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_03]: This one, I don't know. This one kind of is like, it's iffy.
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. You get what I'm saying, Pat, because if the guy came in studs up two foot at our
[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_06]: guy on the knee, of course it would be a totally different story. We would be having a totally
[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_06]: different conversation, but it was just simply pushing the back and the box. Unfortunate.
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_06]: We, Markanic, Markanic's first goal of the night.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I would like to say a couple things. First off, it's not unfortunate when we're the
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_02]: recipient of the gratitude of the other team being a red card. Now, if it happened against us,
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I might be a little aggrieved because it was a push in the back. I don't think there's any
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_02]: doubt that it was a foul. And when you look at all the considerations for what the red
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_02]: card being issued was, it was probably issued for denying obvious goal scoring opportunity,
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_02]: dog so, and you start looking down all the considerations and it fits all of them.
[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying first three minutes of the game as a game perspective, it's just unfortunate
[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_06]: because it's just that's soccer. Of course you change the game. Now, of course, as battery fans
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_06]: were delighted. I mean, we got the result we wanted, but as a, just a fan of the game itself,
[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_06]: it's just unfortunate to see that that's where the unfortunate comes in just for the game
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_06]: not for who's playing and our team kicking ass like always.
[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think one thing, uh, Grennan and I were talking about Ryan, uh, right before we started
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_03]: was this is the fifth of the last 10 games that we've played in that had a red card.
[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's kind of becoming a pattern every other game something happens and it's,
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: it's a little ridiculous. Like either it's us getting it or the other team gets it, but
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: a lot of these calls have been every five games we play. No, the last 10 games,
[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: every other game has had a red card or you get five of the last 10. It's pretty crazy.
[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's not no, that's a lot. Yeah. And then as we discussed the second red card,
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_02]: that is really inconsistent. What happened to that? But we'll get into that in a minute, but
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_02]: it's pretty interesting or just us L championship teams that undisciplined that they're causing
[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_02]: these red cards and referees have no choice, but to pull out the red card.
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_02]: No, or is it just shitty referee? It's a ref trying to make a name for himself.
[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I think it's the referee trying to make a name for himself because he didn't pull
[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_06]: his first yellow card until the 77th minute after he already handed out two red cards.
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_06]: I had never really seen a referee just hanging out straight reds like that.
[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen a straight red for someone being like hands on the back. Like it was a push,
[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_03]: but it wasn't like this guy's like pulling them backwards and pulling them down to the ground.
[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, but I see that being called as a pen, not a red card. I don't even see
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_06]: it as a yellow. I see it as a pen and no yellow. Yeah, it's a penalty kick with a
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_06]: cord possibly, but a red? That's where the unfortunate part comes in.
[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's look at the laws of the game, gentlemen. The following must be considered.
[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Distance between the offense and the goal, which it was close, right? You're in a penalty
[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_02]: area. The general direction of play is going straight towards the goal. There's no doubt
[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_02]: that there is a 99.9% chance that Nick has put in the back of the goal.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Likelihood of keeping or gaining control of the ball. He had it at his feet
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_02]: and location and number of defenders. There's only defender is the keeper in front of them
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_02]: and the guy push him into back. Now, if had he gone for the ball, that would have been
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_02]: a caution, not a red card. It wouldn't have been a dog. So I think it's a dog. So all
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_02]: day long, and I don't know why a defender would do that because he should know better,
[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: but I mean, just because he went for the buy. I see what you're saying with the laws of
[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_03]: the game, but still the ball's bouncing at him and don't get me wrong on this.
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's good for us, but like the ball's bouncing. He doesn't have control of the ball.
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_03]: It's bouncing to his foot and he's touched in the back like well what we know about Nick.
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he might not have control of the ball, but that referee couldn't see that.
[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, you can see it on the defenders faces. They're like, what the hell did you
[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_02]: just call? Yeah, but that's, I would do the same thing. If you and I, if I just push
[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_02]: somebody in the back that was clear on goal with the keeper, I would look shocked too.
[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I probably wouldn't. I'd probably walk away. But it was, their shock look was a little,
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I think he thought that I could get away with this in the first seven minutes of a game.
[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe not in 70 minutes, but in the first seven, they ain't going to call that.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_02]: But what's he supposed to call it? Just a PK? Yeah. Exactly.
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_02]: He can't. I mean, if you look at that, then his-
[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just not consistent. I thought we had better consistency.
[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_06]: We've seen it called in the league before.
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_03]: We just had better consistency earlier in the season with refereeing.
[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Where do we get this hard referee out of nowhere from? We haven't had a tight referee
[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_06]: like this all year for, I haven't seen it in any game. I've been watching other games.
[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I've never seen a tight ref like this. I challenge you find it in the laws of
[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_02]: the game. It says he can only give him a caution or nothing.
[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Here's his referee. Let's find him. I think we all know being soccer fans that
[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: there's a little more to it than what the laws of the game are. Cause then we wouldn't
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: have the guys out there. We'd only have video assistant referees and they would rule
[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: everything. We would get every out of bounds correct. We get every foul throw correct.
[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_02]: We wouldn't have the second red card, which I do not think it was a red card.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03]: We wouldn't have had the first one. I don't think that one was it, but we could see
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: at least he was consistent in the red card came out for something that isn't a red.
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_03]: We can say that.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I disagree. It was a red card. First one, red card. Second one, it was a yellow card.
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we took a while to capitalize on it. We can go with that.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_06]: It took forever.
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I got his, I got his last one, two, three, four, his last four games he refereed this year.
[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_06]: He handed out. So the last game battery, he nailed two red cards and a yellow.
[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_06]: The last game he refereed was Hartford versus Detroit handed out five yellow cards
[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_06]: and then handed out three yellow cards in the sporting Casey versus St. Louis game.
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_02]: So you're saying he's do a couple of them.
[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_04]: So he was moved down to a fourth official.
[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he also had us, he also had a USL earlier this year with San Antonio versus New Mexico,
[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_06]: where he handed out seven yellow cards and two red cards.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_06]: He was the fourth official in all the MLS games, but he still handed out three yellow
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_06]: cards in the one game as a fourth official.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_02]: So if he moves up to force a fourth official, that's part of the fishing team.
[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_02]: So he must be pretty good to at least get to the MLS level.
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I say that, but then we're going to talk about second record.
[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to like, what the hell?
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he might just be doing bicep curls all day where he needs to show them off
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: and he's just reaching for the pocket because he needs the people to see what he's working with.
[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_02]: You're so hard on somebody that gave us so much love.
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the opposite side of the table, we'd be fuming right now.
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we did get to the opposite side of the table and even more.
[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_02]: The second red card against Segburs, I don't know what he called.
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It was a sure pull.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_03]: So I watched it back and it was just like a guy running.
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_03]: We see it in every play.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: So there's hands on jerseys both ways.
[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And like, it's something that is not called unless the
[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_03]: sideline ref sees it and waves his flag and says something.
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_03]: So I think he just, the guy went down and he was like, yeah,
[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_03]: you stopped him from scoring a goal.
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it's a ball in the air crossing in the air.
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_03]: There's no guarantee this guy's getting to the ball for the law that you talked about.
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not a goal scoring chance.
[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_02]: It is not a dog.
[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_02]: That is not a dog.
[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_02]: So there's everybody running towards the goal.
[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_02]: This guy wasn't even leading the pack.
[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_02]: There's no way he was, uh, with, you know, likelihood of getting control of the ball.
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_02]: It was zero, maybe 2%, nothing like the earlier one and a pull on a jersey,
[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_02]: tug on a jersey is a caution, not a red card.
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_02]: So, and you look at the other consideration location and number of defenders we had our
[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_02]: whole team down there defended.
[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know where he pulled out the second.
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it was an equalizer.
[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I hate to say that because that's just, I would have more faith in our
[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_02]: refereeing system maybe than I should.
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, hey, I got another stat for you right here.
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_06]: This referee has refereed in the USL from 2019 through 2024.
[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_06]: And during that time he's refereed a total of 70 matches.
[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_06]: And during those 70 matches, he has handed out 321 yellow cards,
[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_06]: 10 double yellows and 11 red cards, straight red cards.
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_06]: It's 70 matches.
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_06]: That's just ridiculous.
[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Like in the USL alone.
[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_06]: And then for the end, for the women's national soccer league,
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_06]: we've refereeing from 2022 to 2024.
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_06]: He's refereed a total of nine games holding 22 yellows and two reds.
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Dude, 370 yellows and 70 games.
[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying, dude, I've never seen a tight ref like that though.
[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, his stats can back it up.
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_02]: I am saying that he called the first one correctly and he was
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_02]: absolutely 100% wrong on the second one.
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_02]: So he is 50-50.
[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_02]: 50%.
[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Now the more damning thing is it took us over 30 minutes to score a goal.
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I did want to ask you this because Conway had one, a belter off the bar,
[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_03]: and then your boy Torres had one, I believe, off the bar.
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: So-
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Torres was everywhere.
[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you think, cause we got the pen, but like 35 minutes in
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_03]: just a couple of hits off the bar, was it going to be another long night of just smashing it
[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_03]: and this guy's got a top performance and they get some bullshit at the end?
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_02]: So if you watch, if you rewatch the replays on that,
[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_02]: you'll notice I'm standing right behind the goal.
[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_02]: And when Conway hit that damn goal, it scared to shit everybody back there.
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_02]: It was so loud everyone went, dang!
[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_02]: It was just loud as hell.
[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Of course, they started giving the keeper back to a bunch of hell.
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_02]: The other people, like there's only a few of us at that end,
[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_02]: and the same thing with Torres when it comes off there.
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_02]: But Conway's, when it hit, it was, I use the term rocket.
[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_02]: This was an ICBM that was destined to,
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd surprise the goal didn't just lift up off the stanchions and flip over.
[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So is there a reason why the fans have moved from that side,
[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_03]: that end to the other end?
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I have no idea.
[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm missing the flea.
[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I want the flea man back behind the goal.
[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So I get him in all the replays.
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't know why they switched ends.
[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It seems very empty and it's the goal we attack, so to start every home game.
[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's, I don't know if it's lackluster and we're just sitting back,
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_03]: but I felt like we were doing better when we had a bunch of guys behind there
[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_03]: screaming and chanting for them.
[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because there was just a couple of us and we weren't screaming and chanting.
[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I was screaming and chanting, but I was a little hoarse from matches earlier in the day.
[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I do not know why.
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_02]: My assumption, it has to do with TV viewing because it puts a bunch of people down one end,
[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_02]: not kind of separated down two ends, but that's just me.
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, maybe post-match stuff and man of the match and everything.
[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Walking out of the tunnel, creating the atmosphere that could probably play in a little bit too.
[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_03]: They definitely bring a big atmosphere with them.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I am a fan of the lineup for this game.
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Jay Chapman getting the full start, getting Jackson Conway at the start.
[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's talk about Chapman real quick.
[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_02]: He does not bring the energy that he's replacing in Emilio.
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Emilio would come on the last 10, 15 minutes and he was just a ball of energy.
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Were he supposed to replace?
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if we're talking about our midfielders, right?
[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_06]: So we had Allen.
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but Emilio came in for Chris Allen,
[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_06]: but is Jay supposed to be the one replacing Emilio when Emilio's not on the field?
[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't know if they were one-to-one,
[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_02]: but I do know that Emilio was not starting in Chapman West.
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because Chapman played the whole game.
[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_03]: He never came off.
[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's tough to make that comparison to Icaza because he's like that one of a kind.
[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_03]: That's like saying a comparison to Malloy.
[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Like Malloy is his own.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It brings almost like a team energy to themselves.
[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and Jay, this is like his first full start and you got Icaza,
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_06]: who is the main of the city for Charleston right now.
[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_01]: The Tri-County area.
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_06]: I think he's Mr. Battery.
[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Is he Mr. Battery?
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_06]: No, because you have Nick.
[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_03]: You have Nick as Mr. Battery.
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Nick is March.
[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Emilio's June.
[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_06]: There you go.
[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a whole calendar, guys.
[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_02]: So let's look back at the...
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_02]: So we took a 37-minute score goal,
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_02]: and I don't want to go through all the goals unless you guys want to do a play-by-play.
[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_03]: There's only one I would want to talk about was Nick's because that one was incredible.
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought that one was the best.
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_02]: The volley?
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was pretty impressive.
[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I was back and you know, I'm always hard on Nick and that was a great goal.
[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_02]: That was left-footed too.
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_02]: That was just in the back of the net before everybody...
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_06]: That's a strong foot, Ryan.
[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I know, but just someone who's not left-foot dominated,
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_06]: just always seeing someone just nail it left-footed.
[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I wish I could do that.
[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_03]: This is personal talk.
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You could if you're left-foot dominant, Ryan.
[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_02]: You could do that.
[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not, so obviously I'm very impressed.
[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_02]: So the other left-footed guy was Torres because he was putting him consistently in there.
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_02]: He might not have had a bunch of assists, but he had some pre-assists.
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_02]: One of the announcers was when you go back and listen to the replay,
[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_02]: he was all about Torres and about his consistency,
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_02]: putting the ball into dangerous areas and people scoring off of it.
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Dude, it was all night.
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_06]: The set pieces, corner...
[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean everything Torres was putting in the box was just lethal.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_06]: I loved it.
[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean he had a heck of a night.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And the other thing I want to call, a person I want to call is MD.
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And I've always been hard on MD too.
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I said something about he's a little, you know, maybe a little bit lazy,
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_02]: but he worked hard tonight.
[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_02]: He screwed one up and then ended up getting a kind of a toe poke in the goal,
[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_02]: but he stayed in the battle.
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_02]: And Robbie put one through the center, I think.
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And he put it in the other one.
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_02]: He just fought through a player, an opposing player.
[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I think Torres put it back into him and then went through the keeper.
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And just his tenacity.
[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Bounce off his head.
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_02]: His tenacity and his forward motion helped score both those goals.
[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It was fantastic.
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_06]: That's why I love them.
[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he got bailed out by Allen on that one.
[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_03]: He should have had a shot on the ball coming into him and he was like,
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_03]: oh shit, where's that ball going?
[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_02]: But he didn't give up.
[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_02]: He did not just fall on the ground and just stop.
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_02]: True.
[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_02]: He kept moving.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's worthy of note.
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_02]: So let's talk about how well we do last week against a number one team on the East.
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And then how well we do against a very lackluster team that's coming into Charleston.
[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of a repeat pattern.
[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's look back at Tampa Bay.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_02]: We lost 4-2.
[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_02]: We come back to Indy, who's not the strongest team back in Charleston.
[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Five nil.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Then, you know, Louis City, we get our butt stomped and then come back
[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_02]: and we're doing six nil against...
[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Are we only scoring big goals against...
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, I hope we can continue it because you got San Antonio who this year,
[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean they're a top playoff team.
[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, they're a big team and they're sitting down 11th place right now in the West.
[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Four points from last place in the West.
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm hoping that would be, you know, we carry that and then we have Sacramento,
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_06]: who's second in the West.
[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, definitely gotta keep Tampa.
[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_06]: You gotta keep it going.
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So we have Colorado Springs, which is on the road.
[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_06]: That's our second road game that's remaining.
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_06]: We have three road games remaining out of eight.
[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_06]: So then after Colorado, we have Tampa at the end of the month.
[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Then we have Detroit.
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_02]: And then we have Pitt.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_06]: October.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I think Rhode Island's in there as well.
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Pittsburgh's our last road game.
[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Pittsburgh's our last road game and then we end the season at home against Rhode Island
[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_06]: and at home against Loudoun County.
[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you guys at all worried about the consistency of this team
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_03]: leading into the last eight games?
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, absolutely.
[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I am a little bit right now because as Granted just pointed out,
[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean it's not consistency.
[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_06]: It isn't really there when we come up in big games.
[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, the only last big game I've seen us really put it in was Louisville at home.
[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_06]: As it stands right now, I mean we're going to be on the road to Louisville in the playoffs.
[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_06]: If it stands and if we are, I don't.
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Look at Tampa Bay.
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_02]: We lost to them 4-2 and it wasn't Tampa Bay but we still lost to them 4-2.
[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Detroit.
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I think...
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_02]: 2-0.
[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Right?
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_02]: No, we lost them 2-0.
[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_02]: We lost them 2-0.
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And they're still sitting in fourths.
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_03]: All rope games.
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_03]: These are all teams competing in playoff spots and going to be going into the playoffs.
[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I get the Orange County game was like an opportunity to play some guys
[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: and maybe get some minutes and build them up so we can rotate
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_03]: a little more consistent but like I don't know.
[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_03]: The play has just been so off.
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_03]: It's been so wishy-washy almost like you don't know if we're going to get
[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_03]: beat three to one or we're going to win six or seven nothing.
[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_02]: No, absolutely.
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And look at even Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_02]: They're number nine right now.
[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_02]: They're sitting night and we drew with them earlier in the year, right?
[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Rhode Island number seven.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_02]: We drew with them.
[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not like we're playing bottom table teams to finish this season out.
[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And granted these are teams that are fighting to get into the playoffs.
[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So they're going to be bringing everything they can
[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_03]: using every little advantage they can try and get like this isn't like, oh, mid season doesn't
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: matter.
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_03]: We're coming to the end of the year where you're fighting for a playoff spot.
[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_03]: These teams are going to be giving you everything.
[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you got to think about it too.
[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Like that Colorado game as mediocre as that game sounds, that's an absolute massive
[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_06]: game for Colorado because they play, we play each other on the opposite divisions one
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_06]: time throughout the year.
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_06]: And since we're sitting in second first place, you have Colorado sitting in six
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_06]: and was every single team above them we've beaten.
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's a tiebreaker game for them over everybody else.
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And they're only four points out of missing a playoff spot.
[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_03]: So a draw or a win means everything to them.
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_03]: They're not going to just give up points.
[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, Miami is not getting in.
[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: So we know that they're sitting with eight points.
[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we, the three of us could have collected eight points throughout the season.
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Possibly.
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Right now you have Loudon, Rhode Island and Birmingham and Indy all playing for those
[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_06]: last spots.
[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, there's only three points separating nine through fifth.
[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's going to be a battle.
[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Points.
[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a battle.
[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Every goal is going to and we've been winning easy matches and not winning
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_02]: tough matches.
[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_02]: If we have to go back into Lue City, it's going to be either a spectacular win or
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_02]: absolutely miserable loss.
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Can we talk about Gutierrez real quick?
[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_02]: What does this mean for us?
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_04]: See you.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I have to.
[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_02]: We saw it happening, right?
[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_02]: We talked about it time and time again.
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_02]: You can see it.
[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_02]: See it.
[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_02]: His style of play, I guess maybe doesn't fit the battery.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_02]: It didn't hurt us.
[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll say that.
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_03]: What?
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Him leaving or just his style of play?
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_03]: His style of play.
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_03]: At times it was lackluster, but I mean you could say that for almost anyone on the team.
[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think his style of play fit trying to go down the touchline as much
[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_02]: as he did and trying to more of a possession passing team versus trying to dribble
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_02]: around people.
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think it's more of his style or that Torres has just acclimated so well
[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_03]: to the team?
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a combination of both, right?
[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Because Torres is on an upward trajectory here.
[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean he's putting balls in.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_02]: He looks so confident out in the field.
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Even when he put off the woodwork, he didn't grab his head.
[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_02]: He didn't look like he used to when he would put the ball off the woodwork.
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_02]: He's just playing with so much more confidence.
[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_06]: You got to kind of look at it too.
[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean I think you look at it either way between Torres and Gutes.
[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Whoever won the starting role they were going to sell the other person.
[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like because they can't guarantee him that time and it's just always going
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_06]: to be a toxic environment.
[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like even if you're not playing and you're making the best environment
[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_06]: you can on the bench, I mean still coaches are leery of that and they can
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_06]: make some money off of you too.
[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Well I've always said I want to see a player succeed.
[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You want them to play.
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_02]: If you like the player, I want him to succeed.
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_02]: I want him to go somewhere where he can make a difference and he gets this playing time
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_02]: that he serves.
[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Well Ryan, I think I agree with you in what you're saying but I just have a different view of
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_03]: maybe they just looked at Torres of he will help us more in the playoffs than
[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Gutierrez will.
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_03]: As opposed to like because I mean there's a high turnover in our league with our team
[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_03]: and everyone's team so I don't think it...
[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Realistically they're thinking long term.
[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they are but I mean selfishly I would hope they're just thinking short term of
[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_03]: who's going to be the more dominant player in the playoffs and create more chances for us.
[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_06]: We also got to remember too though this past offseason and last year we signed a bunch
[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_06]: of multi-year contracts.
[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Now do we fulfill those contract links?
[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_06]: That's a different story.
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_06]: But I have that kind of in the back of my head going into it so I feel like this team
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_06]: we could have for another year or two.
[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Now like Samuel Beek and some of those new guys like Jay Chapman coming in like
[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_06]: I know those guys may or may not be there anymore because they're loan deals and so on.
[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah for the most part I feel like Torres is going to stick around for another
[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_06]: year or two.
[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to be gone.
[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_06]: You think he's going to be gone at the end of this year?
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah well...
[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_03]: It'd be nice if you step around.
[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_02]: I want him to stick around because I have my hat that I'm going to start wearing to matches.
[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_02]: You see it right?
[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a Colombian hat.
[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I will start wearing it to matches because I think he makes such a difference.
[00:27:33] [SPEAKER_02]: He's so multi-dimensional and he can put the ball in where it needs to be
[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_02]: so our strikers look good and he can also strike the ball.
[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_06]: The reason why I say he comes back next year is because he doesn't want to hit
[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_06]: the transfer market with an 80 number.
[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_06]: That he's going to want to come back next year making an absolute name for himself,
[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_06]: get a lower number to start the season and he may leave midway.
[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Gutzlatt, like a few players did.
[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_06]: He could leave mid and I'd be fine with that but I feel like he's going to want
[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_06]: to start this next year off absolute powerhouse.
[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Well speaking of a few...
[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_03]: But that's speaking far ahead.
[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Not speaking too far ahead.
[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Speaking of a few players leaving, we have Jake Lacavo up next Saturday night.
[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_03]: San Antonio.
[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_03]: We do.
[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_06]: How has he been doing out there lately?
[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Has he been getting some minutes?
[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_06]: He's been getting tan.
[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Let me check and see what they've been doing.
[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_02]: When I said I want to see other players succeed,
[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_02]: if they can't play for us and they need to succeed for the team,
[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_02]: that's except when they play against us.
[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, that has to be a given, right?
[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I just want to put that on the record.
[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_02]: I just want to put it on the record.
[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they get a red five minutes in, that's okay.
[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_02]: That's fair.
[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_02]: They can play like gangbusters until that red card and then they're gone.
[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh there we go.
[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Now I found them.
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Jake has been found by Ryan.
[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Last game he played in was against Pittsburgh when they tied 0-0
[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_06]: and he got subbed off in the 50th minute.
[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_06]: He hasn't been on the roster since.
[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_06]: So that was three games ago.
[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Injury?
[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Does not say.
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd give something more to it because you would think with that move,
[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_03]: he would just be getting a little more consistent minutes.
[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, why would you leave the battery?
[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And that timing, the 58 minutes, I know that we do a lot of substitution around the 60 minute mark,
[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_02]: but that just seems a little early.
[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_04]: But anyways, let's see.
[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_04]: How many starts does he have?
[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Four, one, two, three.
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_06]: He's got seven starts for San Antonio out of 10 games being played for them.
[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_03]: San Antonio is not out of it.
[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_03]: They're only four points out of a playoff spot.
[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_02]: They're 24 points.
[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, this is a big game for them because look at who we beat.
[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Sacramento is absolutely coming for us in two weeks when we play them because,
[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_06]: guess what?
[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_06]: We beat New Mexico at the beginning of the year 4-0.
[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I said that game was massive implications and here it comes right back full circle.
[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_02]: To be fair, you've said that about every match.
[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got to cover all his bases.
[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He does.
[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He does.
[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_03]: He's running for office one of these days.
[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I will tell you what.
[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_02]: So after the red card, Grant from the battery can walk him by,
[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_02]: gave some high five stuff.
[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_02]: He goes, what's your prediction?
[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I said five nil and walked away.
[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I was one off.
[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And that doesn't count because I was one off.
[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_04]: You didn't get it.
[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Pat sucks to suck as they say.
[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a little short.
[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a little short.
[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I've gotten four right this year.
[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not bad.
[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Four, allegedly.
[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Allegedly.
[00:31:20] [SPEAKER_02]: All been recorded.
[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll edit those.
[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Most of them he must have been coerced into saying it too.
[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_02]: So if you're listening to this, when you hear Ryan's predictions,
[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I predict two nil.
[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_02]: That's probably me mucking around with the stuff.
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I won't forget the Miami one where I pissed off Grant at Edmunds' host when I said two to one
[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_06]: and then it was one one in the first 15 minutes.
[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_06]: I said next goal won't happen until 80 plus minute.
[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_02]: You did that right after I lost.
[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you that one.
[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you that one.
[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_02]: You didn't piss me off until you said we were going to lose.
[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_02]: That pissed me off.
[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_02]: But anyways, that was a different match.
[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_02]: So San Antonio, they're number 11, but like you said, they're only four points out of
[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_02]: playoff contention.
[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So they're all fighting down there at the bottom of that table.
[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Our 11th place sitting in 28 points Hartford who happened to beat somebody this weekend.
[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Did they not?
[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_06]: They beat Louisville and technically they're not out of it either.
[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_06]: They are seven points out of playoff spot.
[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, so how does the 11th place team beat Louisville and they schooled us?
[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Louisville schooled us.
[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_02]: But anyways, I guess it shows the ability of the parity of all the teams inside.
[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Louisville got a red card in the 29th minute.
[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_06]: It wasn't in Louisville.
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's what it looks like.
[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_02]: A red card and not in Louisville.
[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it was in Hartford.
[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Me 5,500 people there.
[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Nice.
[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_04]: That was a big game.
[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Next match is the way it was said San Antonio.
[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Yep, the way at San Antonio.
[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And kick off at 9 PM our time, I do believe.
[00:33:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that right?
[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_02]: So maybe we'll see Edmond Zospie.
[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's going to be a fight.
[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be battle.
[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_03]: We may all be circling that September 21 and October 5th match back to back.
[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Tampa and Detroit at home.
[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_03]: So hopefully we don't get too far ahead of ourselves.
[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, guys, you guys also got to look at this too.
[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, Markanek needs one more goal and he ties the league record regular season.
[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So if he gets it against San Antonio, he has the chance to do it at home against Detroit
[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_06]: or to be Tampa.
[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Sacramento first, I'm pretty sure because they'll come right back.
[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, right.
[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_06]: So it'd be at home against Sacramento against the biggest team in the second
[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_06]: biggest team in the West right now.
[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Or if he doesn't get it, we try to hope for he gets it versus the Detroit game.
[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, nothing happens against Colorado.
[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_06]: I'd like to see it happen on home soil, but Nick's also not far off from the
[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_06]: battery's all time season record, which is 27 and that record includes playoffs.
[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Do not doubt he's going to get that during a regular season.
[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I have no doubt in my mind.
[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_06]: He just needs three goals in eight games to tie it.
[00:34:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_02]: He can do that.
[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_02]: So, okay.
[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Patrick got anything else?
[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_02]: What wraps up?
[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's just hear what you guys got on Saturday.
[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_03]: What's the score line?
[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_03]: You got anyone shining for the battery?
[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Ryan, Ryan, Ryan.
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_06]: I think we go in and we beat San Antonio five to one.
[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Five to one.
[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Sheesh.
[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And Markanek has a hat trick.
[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_06]: So there goes.
[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm sorry.
[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry.
[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_06]: I am well, no, no, no, I'm sorry.
[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_06]: MD Myers scores a hat trick.
[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_03]: That makes sense.
[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, yeah.
[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Myers scores a hat trick.
[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Five to one.
[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Get him up.
[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_06]: He went big.
[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Get him up to 20 goals in the season.
[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Five one.
[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_06]: The keepers still predicting no clean sheets.
[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_02]: He hates keepers.
[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Granny, sorry, man.
[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to predict that clean sheet.
[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Two nil.
[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Torres gets a brace.
[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'll go one nil.
[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to stick with...
[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he's just becoming my guy now.
[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Graham Smith.
[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just a Graham Smith guy.
[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I like that.
[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I like that.
[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Graham will make sure.
[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_02]: If we were in trouble, if we were seriously in trouble
[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Saturday night, Graham would have come and saved us.
[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I believe that.
[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, five home matches left and three away.
[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So up the battery.
[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Up the battery.
[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_03]: That's all I got, guys.
[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_03]: See you.
[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Peace.
