[00:03:15] Currently, I think the bid is still live for some of them.
[00:03:17] But I really thought Detroit was not going to be a big match for us at home.
[00:03:26] And it looked like I was wrong to start the game.
[00:03:31] It is kind of a stalemate.
[00:03:32] And then a set piece here.
[00:03:34] And they took the lead.
[00:03:35] So, yeah.
[00:03:40] I don't know.
[00:03:41] It was nice to see Akaza out there getting back in the lineup.

[00:03:49] But I had big expectations.
[00:03:51] I thought this was going to be a thumping for us.

[00:05:01] Get them some time to the second half.

[00:06:04] Because this was easily avoided.
[00:06:06] This wasn't a corner kick that was so well delivered.
[00:06:12] And someone made a spectacular play.
[00:06:15] This is like almost outside the box that the guy made the header and got it in.
[00:06:21] Like he was very far away from the goal.
[00:06:22] And nobody jumped up to protect this ball.
[00:06:25] No one seemed like they were going to take responsibility.
[00:06:29] Which is not a great time to be acting like this.
[00:06:32] This is the last, what, three, four games?
[00:06:35] You should be cohesive and ready to go into playoffs with all the confidence you need.
[00:06:42] And a goal like this just shows we have a lot of focus to put on this team.
[00:06:51] And mentally they need to be stronger.
[00:06:54] Because these are goals that will send you out of the playoffs.

[00:06:59] It was just, it was abominable what happened.
[00:07:02] Because I think MD was in the guy's back.

[00:07:51] Well, it was kind of like, there was no, it was hard to see if we were playing zone coverage.

[00:08:02] Or if we were playing man-to-man marking the whole time.
[00:08:05] Because there was players just drifting around for Detroit to get open.
[00:08:09] And then if no one jumps at all, it's just, it's just poor.

[00:08:17] Poor defending all around.
[00:08:18] And it was poor.
[00:08:19] And we got to play better now.
[00:08:20] Like I said, if you look back at the stats on this, we dominated them.
[00:08:24] If you just look purely at them, take away the score line.
[00:08:28] We dominated.
[00:08:30] But we're giving up cheap, easy goals that we shouldn't be doing.
[00:08:34] And we're not scoring goals.
[00:08:35] I mean, we scored two.
[00:08:36] But one was kind of a soft penalty on Torres.
[00:08:40] And we shouldn't be scoring those PKs.
[00:08:43] And the other one, I think it was, I think the second goal was a fantastic goal.
[00:08:46] But we shouldn't be waiting on a winger to do that.
[00:08:50] We should be in control of these matches from the beginning and scoring goals.
[00:08:54] And we're not doing it.

[00:08:56] And that's what, that's one thing that makes you scared for the postseason coming up.

[00:09:17] But, you know, it's, you look at those games that he's getting scored on.
[00:09:21] It's usually these cheap, easy goals that's very frustrating.
[00:09:24] Because some of them, it's not a whole lot he can do about it.
[00:09:28] And then other ones, I would say there's probably been one or two where he, it's on him.
[00:09:33] And the rest are just these cheap, easy ones that are just so annoying.

[00:09:40] I mean, we're obviously going to harp on this first goal.
[00:09:43] Because I don't know if everyone remembers.
[00:09:47] But this goal is three minutes out of halftime.
[00:09:49] And then for the next 10, 11 minutes, it was kind of just Detroit domination.

[00:09:58] They got the red card because they were attacking our goal.
[00:10:01] So they just kept peppering the ball, trying to shoot.
[00:10:05] I mean, I hate to say it, but we got lucky again.
[00:10:10] It was a terrible challenge.
[00:10:11] But without this red card, I really think we were going downhill for the rest of this game.

[00:10:20] That red card did change the tenor a little bit, but not enough.
[00:10:24] And we need to be taking advantage of those situations.
[00:10:27] And we don't seem to be doing that.
[00:10:28] Yeah, it shouldn't take a red card to light a fire under our ass and get the guys motivated
[00:10:32] to get down the other end and start taking some shots.

[00:10:42] But I tell you what, Rodriguez and Chapman and all them, they have stepped up and done

[00:10:56] It's just not looking good for us going in the postseason.

[00:11:09] He is kind of our rock right there in the midfield, but he was out there and nothing changed.

[00:12:03] Now we can, and his first, I think it was the first goal for him playing for Detroit.

[00:12:09] I'd say the highlights for us have to be what?
[00:12:12] Torres, his relentlessness.
[00:12:16] Cause he, he, he accumulated for both of our goals, whether he was involved in the buildup
[00:12:21] play to draw the penalty.
[00:12:22] The second one that was like, uh, it kind of reminded me of some of Nick's earlier goals
[00:12:30] where he just kept working for him and got on the end of it.
[00:12:33] But I mean, great finish, but just kind of that work ethic, that tenacity to never give
[00:12:37] up on the play and keep going.
[00:12:39] And you reap these benefits.
[00:12:41] I mean, 80, what, what were we?

[00:12:46] We go up to one finally thinking that's it.

[00:12:54] I think that's something we need to really, really take a deeper look at before playoffs
[00:13:00] start is our ability to close teams out and not just kind of let our big sigh of relief

[00:13:11] Like I, how many times have we talked about it, Ryan, where we just shift to like leaving
[00:13:16] two players at the half field line and we keep attacking and then we get countered in
[00:13:20] these moments.
[00:13:21] I mean, this wasn't one of them, but it very easily could have been a counterable game
[00:13:27] where we just draw way too many forward.
[00:13:33] If you're going to draw, if you're going to draw that many forward, you have to have
[00:13:38] the anticipation and the intensity to the, or in the, in the recognition, the moment you
[00:13:46] lose the ball, you're either sprinting back or as a team, you're forcing them to go backwards.
[00:13:54] Meaning the defender does not have the time to immediately take the one touch out.
[00:13:59] He's taking the touching one backwards to try to move on you.
[00:14:03] As soon as he puts his back to the field, you just force them backwards.
[00:14:08] And that's what I try to teach my, my U16 team.
[00:14:12] And today we got an own goal.
[00:14:13] The kid scored an own goal on himself.
[00:14:16] I'm a team we were playing against because we forced them that way.
[00:14:19] And it's the battery or in that position where if they do it, that's great.
[00:14:24] And it can work for us.
[00:14:25] But are we going to, or are we just going to sprint back?
[00:14:28] And right now we just walk back and we just can get easily countered.
[00:14:31] That's what we're mad about.
