Episode 9 - Viva Las Vegas! Hats off to Nick!

Join the Cannon Crue's discussion of the 6 nil beat down by the Charleston Battery on FC Los Vegas, Nick bagging 4 goals and a ridiculous worldly by the one and only Aaron Molloy. Who put the ball in the net, half our team did!

[00:00:00] Welcome to Cannon Crue, a weekly podcast discussing the Charleston battery. Your host

[00:00:22] Granit will be joined by other defenders of the fleet from the Black and Yellow supporters

[00:00:27] section and together they will help fortify and conquer their other cannon crew.

[00:00:36] Welcome to the Cannon Crue podcast I am Granit, I am joined by Patrick, how you doing Patrick?

[00:00:42] I'm well what's up everyone and we're also joined by Ryan.

[00:00:48] What's going on? Hey Ryan what you been doing the last couple days?

[00:00:53] I've been coaching over at West Ashley High School. We had playoff start first round went by at home.

[00:01:01] It was a good round we won three to one against Conway and then we just played in the second round

[00:01:08] last night against River Bluff. And how'd that go? It was a heartbreaker and we lost three

[00:01:14] to two in pens last night and I'm just gonna leave it at that you know all the boys left

[00:01:20] it on the field and I'm proud of each and every single one of them and they they stepped up in a

[00:01:25] big way. Every single one of them grew massively and I'm proud of the seniors especially. They played

[00:01:31] their asses off I watched a little bit they worked and worked and worked and that I think

[00:01:35] they were the better team. What do you do for West Ashley Ryan? For West Ashley I am a goalkeeper

[00:01:43] coach and trying to get into doing more like set pieces and throw-ins and stuff like that little

[00:01:50] specialties. So P.K.'s West Ashley Keeper he had two really awesome saves I mean he just he was laid

[00:01:58] out it was really impressive what he did and I can see your tutelage has benefited that young

[00:02:05] gentleman it was fantastic. No I've had a great goalkeeping group this season and I think

[00:02:11] that was our third penalty shootout that we've been in and we've won two of them. Well they worked

[00:02:16] her butts off last night it was a great match referees oh my anyways we'll leave that discussion for

[00:02:23] other West Ashley aides that want to discuss referees well at least one centerf but anyways

[00:02:31] let's move on into our nice little butt whip in of Las Vegas happens in Vegas doesn't stay in

[00:02:39] Vegas it happens to trickle over to Charleston six no win but first let's talk about the atmosphere

[00:02:48] environment weather was awesome for the match. Yeah perfect out another beautiful Charleston

[00:02:57] afternoon on a Saturday this came a little bit earlier 4 p.m. kickoff than we've seen previous

[00:03:05] but yeah tailgating a little bit the yellow lot getting a little warm up myself with soccer ball

[00:03:12] he touches on the mini goals over there but yeah another sold out sold out crowd. Yeah Pat as you

[00:03:20] said you know this is another big crowd and you know 4,500 people in attendance at this game is

[00:03:27] it's just incredible to continue to have this amount of support continue to grow for Charleston.

[00:03:32] Yeah that's a really good number and it's a four o'clock match I enjoyed it being a four o'clock

[00:03:37] match maybe when it's July and August it might be a little too warm but it was nice getting the match

[00:03:42] in and then getting it done and being able to talk about it afterwards. One of the other things that

[00:03:47] was noticed about the match just overall was the fantastic TV covers the announcers were

[00:03:53] fantastic the camera crew were covering it very well you could actually see all the corner flags

[00:03:59] you could see all the play unlike some other stands where we see cables and all that good stuff

[00:04:04] but the announcers did a fantastic job. Yeah they got a little bored at the end there but

[00:04:09] say a lot of people did when you just see goal after goal after goal and then

[00:04:14] you already know it's in the back so they were they were really good. You forgot three

[00:04:20] other goals so it's goal after goal after goal after goal after goal after goal okay.

[00:04:24] Okay so let's talk a little more specifically about the match it was 6-0 it was 4-0 in the first half

[00:04:31] how about them lineup changes coach Peerman did an awesome job of not changing anyone.

[00:04:37] Yeah there was all for a loop on this one no changes for the first time.

[00:04:42] So this is two matches back to back but every other match before now they've thrown in a

[00:04:46] change here in there this time start out with the same starting 11 as we had last week

[00:04:52] so let's just move on and go through the six awesome goals a lot of them were very similar

[00:04:58] some of them were fantastic other ones will chalk up to some uh some defending errors

[00:05:05] so let's talk about the I don't know how we get around how do we say Nick Nick Nick Nick right

[00:05:13] so I think it was Nick MD Nick Nick Nick but Nick scoring four goals and I think it was the first time

[00:05:22] that's happened for the battery in the usl era is that correct Ryan. Yes for the battery themselves

[00:05:30] third time in usl championship history though he tied a record for most goals in a game. So let's

[00:05:36] talk about the first goal. Yeah you can see the defenders kind of bite when he caused the

[00:05:44] he's receiving the ball with his back to goal and you see Las Vegas center back step up to him

[00:05:51] to try and double up and to everyone's surprise he just half turns and kind of chops the ball

[00:05:57] through behind them where patiently waiting is Nick Marcanek and he takes a touch goes around

[00:06:05] the goalkeeper for a nice 18 yard shot and slots at home so and we're seeing a little bit

[00:06:12] Nick with his confidence growing of deep patient and staying these correct positions and you'll

[00:06:18] probably end up getting a shot if not create another chance for another teammate and that's

[00:06:24] a great example of it here. And we'll talk about a couple of other goals he made

[00:06:28] and he finds himself in great space and it was kind of you know all sudden he's worked

[00:06:34] his way behind defenders and in just the spots where he's getting the ball has an easy touch

[00:06:40] and he can put in the back of the goal on this one and I always like to point out Mr. Torres

[00:06:45] he's the one that intercepts it started out the little passing fest to end up on Nick's foot

[00:06:50] and then put it in the back of the goal interestingly shortly after that Nasser said

[00:06:55] is this the first of many goals today a little bit of foreshadowing so let's move on to the

[00:07:03] next goal and I think the person I like to talk about the most is yeah so MD getting after this one

[00:07:14] another brilliant goal by the duo themselves with Marcanik getting after the loose ball

[00:07:20] making the challenge on the play and MD Myers getting right there for the rebound

[00:07:26] fantastic goal and being able to shield off the ball away from three defenders coming in at

[00:07:31] you and to put it in it's a great feeling and again that Eminem duo is just going to be so dynamic

[00:07:38] this year so that's I believe what is it 16 goals for them though combined for more than that

[00:07:47] yeah at this point it was 14 uh six yeah six yeah six for your boy and eight for

[00:07:56] the fan favorite name so I still hold by I still stand by my 30 count for this year for them to

[00:08:03] combine for the two of them combined we'll see I don't know maybe next course got more goals

[00:08:09] we'll see they're just coming fast and furious right it's like they switch roles this time

[00:08:15] and he said hey I'll nick it thank you to you yeah I mean almost verbatim

[00:08:24] it's same exact play we just saw but in reverse so

[00:08:29] again these two guys just finding themselves and we I say finding themselves working themselves

[00:08:35] into these positions to create chances and again hang on like the confidence I think is the biggest

[00:08:42] thing we can look at here of knowing if you get to this space or you get to that ball someone

[00:08:48] will be on the other end to finish it and Nick is the lucky recipient of this one and

[00:08:54] even gives a little shout post game and putting his teammates before him like he always does but

[00:09:00] you still have to work a little bit and kick that ball in the back of the net

[00:09:05] and I think pat to go off on what you're saying as well as the two most important things to

[00:09:10] point out about Myers and Mark Hennigran out is their versatility and their adaptability

[00:09:17] no matter where they're at up front whether it's out wide or in the middle they're both

[00:09:21] being and they both know exactly where to be and to complement and to help each other out

[00:09:26] and they're just on firing on all cylinders right now it's like we're playing two two up front

[00:09:32] with those two working with each other it's just a it's a nice combination it's weird it's

[00:09:38] like you're playing two two false nines almost by the way these two keep playing off of each

[00:09:43] other so let's roll into the the next goal because they're still coming faster and freer than the first

[00:09:48] half I don't want to talk necessarily about Nick scoring his goal because that is number

[00:09:55] I think that's his hat trick right yep yeah let's talk about what led up to that pk I'm

[00:10:01] going to start out with Icaza Torres and Icaza because that's what it was right and Icaza

[00:10:10] he's a brilliant player not only is he fast and he's moving but he's he knows what he's doing in the

[00:10:16] box because I think he he took advantage of the defender and defender I guess Bill Fortin and clipped

[00:10:22] his heels yes said the defenders went in and clipped it and clipped Icaza's heels Icaza knows

[00:10:28] exactly what to do and just goes down may have been a little soft may not have been but

[00:10:33] it was just enough in the right view of the referee he gots the pin call think it was a

[00:10:38] great call yeah the defender was kind of surprised hands up near he's like I don't know what else I

[00:10:45] could have done so and they caused it was actually kind of headed out of the box with the ball that

[00:10:51] was made a little more fun too that he wasn't even really a threat at that point but the defender

[00:10:56] just kind of come across the back out I mean as a defender who's not going to toss their hands

[00:11:02] up and just say oh come on even if you get a little contact when they're lining up to take the the pk

[00:11:11] interestingly it was nick instead of Icaza yeah I think this is uh just going on and recognizing

[00:11:18] he's sitting on a hat trick here and get the guy the ball get him his first pro hat trick and

[00:11:24] we can all celebrate his fans and celebrate we did there's a lot of fun uh you know rarely do

[00:11:30] we get to see us scoring goals that basically it will whenever we're ready to and pulling the trigger

[00:11:36] and scoring some good goals and nicks play the whole time and the passing between Torres and Icaza

[00:11:42] and the hard worker Icaza and MD was really paying off at this point I mean three goals

[00:11:49] and an assist in the first half four nothing lead there's nothing else better you can be doing

[00:11:56] a Patriots point so how do you keep your attention span going stuff you know you you you get a four

[00:12:02] four goal lead gotta make subs I think we were talking at at halftime amongst ourselves could

[00:12:11] this be a game where we see a couple halftime subs for the first time and maybe some academy

[00:12:17] kids coming on getting some minutes so I mean it's something we're all kind of wondering going

[00:12:22] into into the break here so we go into the break and we come out and stroll there after

[00:12:30] guess what happens Ryan guess just guess we score and whose course

[00:12:39] Nick Morganic for number four I mean it's like he's going for a record or something

[00:12:47] this is do you think maybe gets paid per goal be a bad bad accounting

[00:12:54] that's sure he's it's probably it's not probably it's probably not by per goal but if he hits

[00:12:59] a he's got to hit a certain amount if he hits a certain amount then he gets a bonus

[00:13:05] I guarantee you he's already hit that early mark and I bet it's something not even on his mind

[00:13:10] either just watching the way they play like he's not looking you get a classic look at the

[00:13:17] Myers goal he's not looking to selfishly take shots he is looking to create just

[00:13:23] for the battery to be up or his teammates to get involved in I think possibly next game

[00:13:29] we'll see a little more assisting from him and this factor just for teams preparing to lock him

[00:13:35] down solely because he is so dangerous but this game he benefited from all his teammates kind of

[00:13:40] supporting him in this role yeah let's talk I want to talk about that quickly because I had written

[00:13:46] down my notes that Torres Torres Torres so Torres Wiggles way out of out of three defenders

[00:13:53] passed the ball to Alan he touched it back with Torres and ended up Torres passing off

[00:14:00] to Nick because he was wide open in front of the goal and it looked just that was probably one of

[00:14:05] our best passages of play I think of the match was leading up to that goal now for that one it was

[00:14:11] that the whole play the build-up the switch of the play by the team it was really good

[00:14:17] and it was really good to see how we were able to dominate in the midfield and create that

[00:14:22] space for us and that open space to be able to switch and have confidence especially with the

[00:14:26] new guys in there how do you leave this guy open by the way did they forget he had a hat

[00:14:33] trick in the first half it's all right we can leave him alone on the back side that's right

[00:14:40] so let's talk a little more about this fifth goal by Nick so Torres starts it out he

[00:14:46] wiggles out of a couple players the balls pass around Torres goes into the box has the ball

[00:14:51] his foot all the defenders all said and sucked towards Torres and who does that leave open

[00:14:57] that leaves some more canik wide open on the back side crashing that goalpost

[00:15:03] and unselfishly Torres does fantastic nice little pass right in the path of Nick Nick Nick Nick

[00:15:11] and he buries it home puts it away right in front of Barrow Charleston

[00:15:17] it's crazy you would think uh after scoring a hat trick in the first half they wouldn't have just

[00:15:23] hit the snooze button on them and left them so wide open on the 18 yard line just waiting to

[00:15:29] receive the ball and finish do you think it you think maybe it's nick finding the right space

[00:15:36] or is it just them just not knowing how to defend very well I think it's a mix on this one right

[00:15:43] you can't see a guy who's sitting on four goals yeah it's just poor defending on all of them because

[00:15:49] he is finding the space but I think in this particular goal is defending

[00:15:57] he's getting at where he needs to be it's just the defender's not there and he's executing it

[00:16:03] well whatever he's doing he's doing very well I love it I love to see him in space

[00:16:07] and I go every time I see that I'm like what are you the defenders thinking

[00:16:11] you only just cover one dude that's all you're gonna do just mark up that guy coaches that want to

[00:16:17] play against the batter just have somebody mark up with Nick you also gotta worry about md but

[00:16:22] mark up Nick because he's the ones just scoring it will I don't know maybe is that good coaching

[00:16:28] advice no no no I don't think so really because then the next game are you gonna give that

[00:16:33] kind of advice to hardford coming up because I'm pretty sure I got my or swan hat trick against them

[00:16:40] well they're gonna make a decision mark up one or two one of them at least one of them right

[00:16:44] he's gotta yeah you can't leave them both yeah maybe you can only have 11 on the field they can't

[00:16:50] put 15 out there uh yeah you're right I guess that's illegal I guess I guess that gets

[00:16:58] cautions and everything else so let's transition on to the Irish cannon

[00:17:05] Aaron Maloy the world league now the build up again beautifully done by battery creating the

[00:17:15] space in the midfield getting the defense to drop off of them and to give them time and space and

[00:17:21] to just move it around and the fact that they didn't press on Maloy when he got it

[00:17:27] he saw that the keeper was out of position caught him off guard and put it up there

[00:17:33] so let's talk about the keeper's position Ryan tell us a little more what maybe he could have

[00:17:37] done a little better or was shot just that good that didn't matter what you did well the shot was

[00:17:43] the shot was good the shot was really good from where it was and I don't think if you go to

[00:17:48] where the keeper is actually standing at the moment I don't think he did himself any favors

[00:17:55] he probably need to be another half step back and then he needs to immediately drop his back

[00:17:59] shoulder so he can turn and get elevated to jump up in the air whereas if you're square to the field

[00:18:05] then jump straight up the balls go right over your head every time and Greeny did a good job

[00:18:10] with that I think last match that that save you're talking about actually one save of the

[00:18:15] month for Charleston well uh for any of you non goalkeeper battery fans this is just

[00:18:22] another one to look at for goal of the season I think well we just want to toss this hat in the

[00:18:28] ring on this and say hey saw you Torres I saw you Nick I know this is only my second goal of the year

[00:18:34] but this one's going to stick around until the end of the year and possibly get us another award

[00:18:39] I think it was that good of a shot it was incredible yeah yeah Aaron just he does he

[00:18:44] doesn't want to make it look too simple he doesn't want to tap it into the you know the

[00:18:47] corner or the easy he when he scored goals the world knows about it because you can hear

[00:18:52] that shot from around the world when he you know with the free kick his first goal was just

[00:18:56] incredible and just made all the news and everything else this one also made all the news just

[00:19:03] he doesn't do things half-assed no I mean you have your captain running up with his hands on

[00:19:09] his head in amazement of what just happened on the field I think we just saw a ridiculous goal

[00:19:16] well they set it up to is Segbers ball comes to him and he just it wasn't a hard pass it was

[00:19:24] just it was the perfect weight on it to put it right there where Aaron could really strike it well

[00:19:32] so hats off to Segbers for that fantastic pass now one of the other interesting things that

[00:19:39] happened in the match we were counting subs all sudden there were six subs how do we get six

[00:19:46] in there yeah we had a head injury on this one so it was actually Smith few plays earlier so maybe

[00:19:55] four or five minutes earlier uh heading the ball out and just head-to-head collision with the

[00:20:03] Las Vegas attacker went down for a minute or two played on and then battery get a corner

[00:20:09] Smith heads the ball just over top and about 30 seconds after that you kind of see him go down

[00:20:17] and just rubbing his head so maybe he shouldn't have stayed on after that head-to-head but he

[00:20:21] realized it soon after and I could host to him for at least going down and saying hey let's

[00:20:28] take a break and this is what this sub rule is for exactly for this you're not

[00:20:34] burning substitutions on players it's for player safety and I think this is a great example of it

[00:20:39] moving forward for every team absolutely hey that's the reason why we do the extra subs in there

[00:20:45] so they can take the person off do an assessment and make sure that like you said player safety is

[00:20:51] paramount I was just going to say speedy recovery too because he is our biggest goal threat in the

[00:20:57] box uh already hit one off the post in the 53rd minute and this one just over top off another

[00:21:03] corner so we definitely look to him in the middle of that box because he's the one highest up in the

[00:21:11] air going for it yeah his pairing with Archer so far has been fantastic so I guess Palma can

[00:21:19] slide in there and we'll see Archer and Palma working as a pairing so let's let's keep focused

[00:21:28] on these defensive backs and all four of them back I don't think DeSanto's had the best game he's had

[00:21:35] other matches he was on it a lot more crisp past scene everything else but we got a clean sheet

[00:21:42] and I think that's because of outstanding defending from all four backs and our keeper

[00:21:48] yeah I think a little shaky the first two minutes but that's something we've kind of seen

[00:21:53] from this battery team but overall you're seeing guys who are only giving up one shot on target

[00:22:01] and getting in to just block everything else I don't have it do I have it in front of me

[00:22:08] I know they had 26 tackles but their blocks were almost up there as well so you're not even

[00:22:14] allowing the other team to shoot ball I mean mainly this is Archer his big ass in front of

[00:22:19] everyone cleaning it up cleaning house getting it out of there but overall I give them an A on this

[00:22:26] game but there we got to work on this rough start every game and just being flat it's kind of a

[00:22:34] little bit of a snoozer for for Grinny Ryan how do you keep your head in the game when when

[00:22:39] you got such an awesome you know backs in front of you they're cleaning everything up

[00:22:44] just gotta just gotta keep the intensity keep them focused because at the end of the day though

[00:22:51] even though you're not the one getting shot on or having to deal with too much going on your

[00:22:57] inbox you're still keeping the back line organized and as well as the midfield making sure everyone's

[00:23:04] aware of attackers under certain areas so let's talk about quickly about I think a sub come on

[00:23:11] drac yeah we saw drac come on for md in the 69th minute and I think we were all thinking

[00:23:20] he's gonna go ahead and sit back in a more defensive position but it's kind of what Ryan talked about

[00:23:27] in the last pod of maybe seeing one of these guys step into more of a midfield role and

[00:23:32] we saw him play more of a right winger role and this could be I know dos Santos had a

[00:23:38] average game this game this could be a position that might open up for him in the future

[00:23:43] if that left back spot is kind of secured for a few games going forward you know this is

[00:23:49] something that we've kind of mentioned to those younger youth soccer players out there

[00:23:56] you know it's when you get to a certain level and when you're getting older especially it's

[00:24:03] harder to find teams that actually need your set position and you know you have to have that

[00:24:10] adaptability to be able to switch your position so you know drac came in and signed for battery as a

[00:24:17] left back you know now he's not getting as much playing time now we're switching him to the

[00:24:22] midfield role so he can get that playing time and he looked really good in that midfield role

[00:24:27] and I think he's going to get some more playing time that he should get and hopefully going forward

[00:24:33] that's something that that's a way for him to get more playing time on the field as well

[00:24:38] and you know we have a lot of players who got a lot of mints in our legs so it's good that

[00:24:42] we have some other players can move around and give them the other you know like air maloy and

[00:24:48] then some rest you know now I'm to play the full 90 and speaking of sub super subs

[00:24:55] avoid matt dean come in for the great air maloy it's pretty cool so got a couple minutes in there

[00:25:01] and it is his first home match appearance and let me throw some stats at you ryan because

[00:25:07] this is how well he played all right passing 100 percent his passing was 100 for that one pass

[00:25:15] uh two duels one and two tackles wow I know he's jumping in there and number eight role you're

[00:25:23] replacing he caused you know maloy but playing kind of that number eight position and he's playing

[00:25:28] his butt off for the couple minutes he had so it's I thought it was pretty awesome it hats off to

[00:25:33] you Matthew Dean hold on and he and he's the one that benefited from that that concussion

[00:25:40] substitution because then he was the fifth sub six up he was a six sub the sub before that was the

[00:25:47] concussion injury stuff so here's the other part listen to the coaches you listen to other people

[00:25:54] they were not happy with the performance of the battery and I don't know how you say that when

[00:26:00] you score six goals well I do know how you say that you score six goals you hear from coaches

[00:26:04] all the time we played like crap the first half defending was well but passing was I don't want to

[00:26:13] say atrocious but it was not up the level that we're capable of and what we're used to it was more

[00:26:20] careless a little bit more laid back um non-urgent and that's how we played you know you go up

[00:26:27] for nothing right away and that kind of does a little something to you makes you a little

[00:26:32] bit more laid back and that's where that focus comes in and that drive for you you just still

[00:26:37] want to go forward and just end the game just put the game to bed and you know marcanic scored three

[00:26:44] three minutes into the game so you can see how our poor passing started at an early point in the

[00:26:50] game it didn't just take over at halftime or before halftime it was throughout the majority

[00:26:55] of the game because we were winning the whole game and a lot of our goals come from I

[00:27:01] call piss poor defending on Las Vegas's part and and nick taking advantage of their poor

[00:27:09] defending and find himself in good position to keep her doing a poor job so they can do much better

[00:27:16] I agree with you Ryan on that um I'll just throw one set out that kind of throws a little

[00:27:24] wrench in as we still had 83 percent pass accuracy so I know us watching the game and

[00:27:31] we can kind of see like these air balls and just dumb giveaways that we look at overall I think we

[00:27:38] finally we had that moments in the game of say five or seven minutes then we settled into a nice

[00:27:44] little 15 20 minute stint where we're controlling the game again um but I think this is what

[00:27:51] coach pyramid referenced was about 90 seconds two minutes into the game this team we could have

[00:27:58] been down one no and it's a completely different story from here so I think he's trying to instill

[00:28:03] in the players that no matter what the outcome is you'd need to be prepared for the next game

[00:28:11] because the next game start zero zero it is not a continuation of this six no win you guys need

[00:28:17] to be prepared you need to respect the opponent and you can't always count on the ball to be

[00:28:22] going in the back of the net for us it's speaking of the back of the net but close I think there was

[00:28:28] three shots come off the woodwork yeah one of them being Paul Muth that we had mentioned but

[00:28:34] right there in itself that's another three goals I know Ryan you are looking at some crazy history

[00:28:39] stats uh would that have put us over the mark for most goals in the game yeah I think that

[00:28:45] would have put us right there at it the record right now is held by Reno 19 or 1868 they have

[00:28:54] they won their game nine to zero so I'm thinking next yeah I'm thinking next game

[00:29:02] you know we put these we put it to bed early I think we can get 10 goals I think it's very doable

[00:29:09] well let's look how well we think we're doing in this compared to Louis on our heels

[00:29:14] they have two games in hand we are 21 points they're 18 so they have a chance to when they

[00:29:21] catch up with us on the games played they could potentially add six points and be three points

[00:29:30] ahead of us so we got to keep in it and keep moving hard and keep scoring goals yeah another team

[00:29:38] I think has a little buzz just because they are five games played five wins is Detroit

[00:29:44] but that piece that you need to look at is it's only a six goal differential so they're not

[00:29:49] winning games by two or three goals at all they're barely squeaking by by one so just something

[00:29:55] to keep in mind when that game is coming up don't be totally afraid of a team like this

[00:30:00] so let's talk about some fun stuff USL player of the week

[00:30:07] believe it was some guy named Nick and Ryan remind us of the magnitude of his ability

[00:30:16] yes if you take all the top goal scorers in the US across all domestic leagues and that includes

[00:30:24] the MLAs the MLS next us all the USL leagues Nick Marcanik leads all the leagues right now with

[00:30:31] 11 goals and you know following short on that list is right below him Lionel Messi at number two with

[00:30:39] nine goals and then Christian Benteke it's just below them with eight goals just to give you

[00:30:45] guys a little reference of some of the players type quality that are on that list so Patrick

[00:30:53] should you be burning up your messy 10 jersey and replacing it with the lucky 13 I don't know why

[00:31:02] anyone even has the messy jersey in their closet still get it out of there get down to the battery

[00:31:07] shop get a Marcanik jersey he's not going to stop scoring so it's just going to keep going up

[00:31:13] up and up and that value is going to be insane and Ryan I think you mentioned if you want to get

[00:31:19] your autograph you might want to do it now yeah so you know following last game Marcanik stays

[00:31:27] around on the field just like all the battery players do after home games which is a great

[00:31:33] great opportunity for the kids to get to meet some of their favorite players he was around

[00:31:38] for a little bit to sign some stuff but the moment he hit the tunnel he kind of quickly made his way

[00:31:43] out to the locker rooms so if you guys want to get his autograph try to show up a little earlier and

[00:31:50] try to meet him on the field so one last little shout out we see you Aaron Malloy we see you with

[00:31:59] a little goal celebration in your somersault and pistol fingers and that was a nod to the great

[00:32:08] Robbie Keane Irish international he has the most caps the most goals for Ireland and

[00:32:16] one of the other things that was discussed kind of amongst people was that they expected Aaron to

[00:32:21] get a goal like that because his parents were in the grandstands we see you Aaron we see you

[00:32:28] and we see your little somersaults so let's move on to the next match which is May the fourth

[00:32:38] Ryan's dressing up as Chebacca is that right yes and Pat is dressing up as Han Solo

[00:32:49] corrects granted were you Darth Maul is that what you were doing yes Darth Maul I'll be Darth Maul

[00:32:56] last time I was job of the hut but this time I'll be Darth Maul it's better than your jar of binks

[00:33:00] so job of the hut was kind of hard to get to yeah yeah the problem with job of the hut I was

[00:33:05] having getting stuck in the security little detection thing so this match is on May the fourth

[00:33:14] kickoff at 6 30 as always a little celebrating going on pre-gaming and you know yellow lot with us

[00:33:21] cannon crew members and we make our way over to the blue lot to hang out with the regimental

[00:33:27] troops and that joy some of their cooking some of the beer I hear a rumor that Edmond's

[00:33:33] those brewing companies sending over some samples so people can enjoy probably the best beer in Charleston

[00:33:41] and you can watch it on ESPN plus if you can't make it to the match hey if you can make it out

[00:33:50] to the match following the match they'll have a special drone show not sure what all entails

[00:33:58] but should be fun I've stalked a little of their Instagram and I will say it looks pretty cool

[00:34:05] there's going to be some things you've never seen before so these aren't drones with hellfire missiles

[00:34:11] and maverick missiles or anything like that no no no flamethrowing dogs wandering out there

[00:34:18] you guys got anything else you want to do predictions for the game

[00:34:22] so let's bust out the crystal ball

[00:34:25] jibacca what is your prediction for this weekend's match for this weekend I have the battery

[00:34:35] winning 8 0 with with md myers getting a solid hat trick and a goal and getting the game ball

[00:34:46] right yeah good luck with that one Patrick yeah I'm gonna go with the battery for nil I think Nick's

[00:34:56] going to get another goal but I think he's gonna get to assist in this one and hopefully we'll see

[00:35:02] Torres get the hat trick in this game how about you oh I would love that so I'm gonna go

[00:35:11] 10 nil Leland gets set piece headed in the back of the net Torres had trick

[00:35:17] and then we'll just spread out the other goals with everybody else I like it so so that's all I've

[00:35:25] got I like the lead lin chow yeah well he's because he's just that awesome he put him in

[00:35:32] the corner and he's he's due he is due he's due and especially to his hand being partnered

[00:35:39] up with his former center back who was in the usl championship final with him last year they haven't

[00:35:44] played together since then no they haven't so maybe this is time to see some spectacular defending

[00:35:51] and offending by our center backs that's all I've got we're gonna see you in a little bit

[00:35:59] see you Saturday night no battery off the battery

[00:36:09] PCC all in

[00:36:49] you
